Bow Village Hall and Field Project

July 2022

A good start has been made with our ambitious plans for the field.  Talks have been given to the Gardening Club, W.I, Congregational Church and Bow Garden Centre which have been well received. The plans continue to be available to see at our monthly markets.  Lots of people have shown interest and have come forward to volunteer and donate.

Many thanks to the tree and bulb planters of 22nd April.  The nine trees continue to thrive, we are grateful to those of you who are keeping an eye on them!  Thank you to Dave Jackman for digging the holes, it would have been very hard work without your help!

Thank you also to Frank Letch for supporting us through his Localities Fund, and to Den Brook who kick started us off with the first grant. We have been busy applying for numerous grants for the pump track and our other ideas.  So far we have not been successful in securing a grant, but we continue to try.  By the time you read this we will have had several fundraising events, including the Big Breakfast and Car Boot, Quiz and Pasty Night…and we have more planned including a Bingo.

If you would like to complete and return the Bow Village Hall Field questionnaire opposite we would appreciate it as it supports our grant applications. Please return to:  Caroline Taylor, 12 Collatons Walk; or fill it in, take a photo and email it to cataylor0112@gmail.com. Thank you.

We are going to start a Tea and Talk afternoon 2pm -3.15pm on Mondays starting 4th July in the Community Room.  Coffee is also available.  Pop in and see us! All welcome!

Beware! Raffles will be held at most events! If you have offered a raffle prize we will gratefully accept these at any market.

Newsflash!

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from Awards for All (Lottery) to revamp the road frontage to the Village Hall. In addition, we have received £200 from Waitrose.  We are grateful for the practical support and interest from Bow Garden Centre. Our gofundme page continues to grow – see below on how you can donate.
